NEW OFFICIAL ALE OF WORLD’S BIGGEST LIAR COMPETITION
Jennings has launched a new guest ale called ‘World’s Biggest Liar’ to coincide with its sponsorship of the annual competition held on the 15 November in The Bridge Inn in Santon Bridge, Cumbria.
World’s Biggest Liar ale is a dark golden brown bitter with a chocolate, toffee and roasted malt aroma. At 4.3% ABV, the ale has a distinct biscuit flavour with a dry hop finish and is available throughout October and November in draught format.
The competition attracts contestants from all over the world to impress a 120-strong crowd and independent panel of judges with their implausible stories. Last year’s winner, and holder of the first prize Jennings Trophy, was more famous than most – writer, comedian and TV presenter Sue Perkins.
Jennings Marketing Manager, Gaynor Green said: “Jennings has been sponsoring the World’s Biggest Liar competition for three years. This year we wanted to mark the internationally renowned event by offering a special guest ale which captures the very essence of the contest.
Gaynor adds: “We hope drinkers enjoy the new beer as much as the event itself.”
500ml bottles of the World’s Biggest Liar ale are available exclusively in Waitrose stores.
